Pricing

Ophiuchus is an experiment, and so is its pricing. The checkout below, when present, is a real Dodo Payments hosted payment link for an experimental founding price — not a long-term commitment, and not proof the product is finished.

What we are trying to learn is narrow: whether anyone would pay for this at all. Saying so plainly is more useful than a payment page that cannot take a payment.

Alpha​

Free, invite-only, and expected to break. The Alpha is a command-line tool that runs on your machine. See the quickstart for how it works and how to ask for access.

You get no uptime commitment, no support commitment, and no guarantee the data format survives. In exchange we would like your honest verdict on whether the handoff was actually faster.

Founding plans, under consideration​

These are the two shapes being considered for whenever the product is charged for. Both are proposals. Neither is priced, neither is purchasable, and either could be dropped.

"Founding" means an early price for early users who accept an unfinished product. It does not mean a lifetime guarantee, and it does not imply a discount off some future list price, because there is no list price.

Pay for a founding plan​

There is no buy button yet. A test-mode checkout would look like a real one while being unable to take a single real payment, and that would mislead anyone who clicked it — so the button is absent rather than fake. It appears here once a founding-price payment link exists (see DODO_PAYMENT_LINK_URL in the deploy configuration) and a sandbox purchase has been verified against it.

Dodo Payments was selected (HORO-251) as the smallest provider-hosted path that can collect a real payment signal: a no-code static payment link, no custom billing backend, no account system. Clicking it goes to Dodo's own hosted checkout — this site never sees card details or any payment secret.

A payment click here is an intent signal, not proof of willingness-to-pay by itself: the product principle behind this ticket is that payment intent matters most after someone has actually used the Alpha, not from a cold landing-page click. Treat a click as one data point, not a result.

Tell us you would pay​

There is no form here yet. If you want a founding plan, say so through the same channel you use to request Alpha access, and say what you would pay for. That answer is the data we want.

The honest state of the evidence​

We do not know that Ophiuchus works for anyone but its author. There has been one real handoff between two coding agents, run by one founder on one machine. It produced four bug reports. That is early dogfooding, not proof, and it is not a basis for claiming the product saves anyone time.

The measurement that would count is still being built. When there is a result, it gets published whether it is good or bad.
